Vintara Sommelier ("we", "our", or "the app") is a personal wine cellar management application operated by Vintara Labs LLC. Vintara Sommelier is a product and trade name of Vintara Labs LLC. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising. Your wine collection belongs to you.

We do not collect your location, payment information, or any data not listed above. We do not use cookies for advertising. We use Google Analytics to measure aggregate site and feature usage (page visits, signups, wines added, sommelier queries); IP addresses are anonymized and analytics data is never used for advertising or sold.
Your account and wine collection data is stored securely in Supabase, a managed cloud database platform hosted on Amazon Web Services in the United States. Supabase enforces Row Level Security (RLS), which means your data is cryptographically isolated — no other user can read or write to your records.
Data stored in your account includes your email address, wine entries, cellar configurations, rack layouts, checkout history, and sommelier feedback.
Image data for your wine bottles is cached in your browser's local storage and is not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
Vintara Sommelier uses the following third-party services to provide its features. Each has its own privacy policy.

We do not use your data to train AI models, build advertising profiles, or share it with any party not listed in Section 3.
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your email address and all wine collection data will be permanently deleted from our database within 30 days.
Netlify server logs may be retained for up to 30 days per their standard policy. These logs do not contain wine collection data.

Vintara Sommelier is intended for adults of legal drinking age. In the United States, this is 21 years of age. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet the legal drinking age in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Your wine collection data is protected by Supabase Row Level Security policies that prevent any other user from accessing your records. Passwords are managed entirely by Supabase Auth and are never stored or visible to us.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
